Our chapter encompasses a line from central Michigan in the Mt. Pleasant area west to Lake Michigan, north along the coastline to our cherry capitol, Traverse City, to north of the great historic Mackinaw Bridge and east to the shores of Lake Huron to include the Alpena area ... in other words, the entire "Tip of the Mitt".

With Northern Michigan's tourism of all seasons you will find the solitude of forests, lakes, streams and wonderful scenic trails for travelers to escape. Sporting events range from winter snowmobiling and skiing, spring mushroom hunting with colorful wild flowers, to a wide variety of summer activities such as, fishing, camping, hiking, and golfing at many scenic courses. Autumn bursts a multitude of "fall color" tours and great hunting for a variety of wildlife, within our picturesque dense forests.

Many historic small towns of old lumbering days, give way to quaint shopping, delightful restaurants, local festivals and shoreline resorts for boating, or just enjoying the tranquil sunsets. Our many vineyards offer wine tasting with weekend retreats at both rustic and traditional Bed and Breakfast Inns.

Our chapter boasts a large number of professional Certified Designers through the National Kitchen and Bath Association and has a great active membership representing all facets of our industry.
