Our Chapter is anchored by the city of Grand Rapids. Grand Rapids grew from the furniture industry, which still has many influences in the community and has grown to be the second largest city in the state. The lakeshore is also a big part of West Michigan, laced by beautiful beaches and picture perfect sunsets on the shoreline of Lake Michigan. Within an hour drive of Grand Rapids you will find lakeshore communities which provide unique escapes from the city life. We are proud to bring our regional nuances into the design community and the NKBA.
